So I was thinking Batman

This movie is gonna be great! If you havn't kept up with the latest leaked pics for The Dark Knight Rises.
What a highly anticipated movie for the summer of 2012. With Christopher nolan directing this sequel it's gonna be another spectacular dramatic superhero movie. Nolan has said that this is going to be the final Batman movie he will do so be ready for him to pull out all of the stops. Going from the menacing Joker to the brutal and strong villian Bane will not be a problem to pull off in this movie.

Be ready. July 20 2012

Of Monsters and Men

A wonderful little six piece indie/folk bad from Iceland. They come with a soft touch and a hint of rock. The debut album is a great piece of work. "My head is an Animal".

Here's a song from this album. Enjoy

My wonderful girlfriend made this

Yeah she used to work for a post office. Keepin it solid all day long.

Can you see? Invisible Mother

Yes. There is a mother hiding behind that sheet. I have seen very common practice to this even today in making a sharp photo. It's so interesting I had to post about it. You have to bet that the mothers face is not "^_^" but more "ಠ_ಠ"

Bob Marley Interview

A must watch.

Enjoy

Dont give up!

Though the rhino will never be a unicorn. He never gives up! That's the point! Just keep doing what you need to do to get where you want to be! Live life and aspire towards your dreams of all kinds. Make sure you wipe the sweat of your brow and put your head to the grind stone because that is how things are achieved.

I always try to remember that anyone who ever tried to achieve something has worked hard for it. It's not a usual thing for something to be handed down to you. If you want something go out there and get it. Period.

Enjoy your day friends!

(El Camino) - The Black Keys.

Patrick and Dan have done it again with their newest album "El Camino". This album is all pump and gun action. The brother have gone from the soulful seeker in "Brothers" to a faster, louder, more rock & roll sound. A hard hitting powerhouse rhythm in songs such as "Gold On The Ceiling" and "Lonely Boy" certainly doesn't dissapoint. After winning a grammy award for the last album "Brothers" it's seems like a wonderful year for the guys and considering its only been such a short time since their previous album release, the momentum really rolled onto this album.
For example, the song "Little Black Submarines" takes a huge turn in the middle of the song to a much faster paced drive. Though it begins in such a light way. The noise that is given from this album reaches high with it's melodic choruses and excellent groove patterns.
Danger Mouse produced this album as well as the last 2 he produced. He never ceases to amaze with every project he gets his hands on. Most excellent. You can really move your legs in the song "Stop Stop" as Dan's voice creeps on and on. "Dead and Gone" starts out with a real upbeat pace and moves you into the song smoothly. Just such a feelful vibe is received in the lyrics "So long, why'd it take you so long.

This album is the whole package. The Black Keys have a huge drive of momentum in their way of doing things and I hope it just doesn't stop. Everyone has seen the hard work and drive Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach put into their albums.

While the album is not as dark and deep as the last few have been, the power and spirit are still there and it has produced a very well rounded album. With The Black Key already having such a large discography, noone will know if they'll stop for awhile after the success of this album. On the whole scale of everything I've listened too I would give this album a great

                                                                          8.5/10

The Black Keys have definitely brought out one of the best albums of 2011 and what a great time to do it right before the holidays. Great job guys.

Black Fridays Over

And for one I'm happy. The hustle and bustle of shopping carts, blonde hair everywhere, and the screaming of 5 month old kids are not my kid of thing. It's amazing what everyone prepares for Black Friday. I've heard about a lady macing people to be the first one into Walmart!

"GET OUT OF MY WAY, I HAVE TO SAVE 20 DOLLARS FOR A SHEET SET!!!"
It's unbelievable really.

Lately I've been working my face off to gather up some more money to buy a car and get things moving for me. Right now I drive this 1989 Chevy Pickup, it's a mammoth, but hey I love to drive it. Though it sucks the gas dry. Work at Chez nous and hang out with my beautiful girlfriend. Drinking coffee on my couch while I ponder the day. I hope it's a good one. It's raining pretty decently right now in good ole' Houston, Texas. The first part of the holidays is over everyone and I hope everyone enjoys it!

Grooveshark being sued by Universal. $15 Billion over 100,00 illegal uploads

Here recently there has been a huge math of lawsuits by Grooveshark vs. UMG. UMG has filed last week a copyright infringement lawsuit. UMG claims that the company has uploaded over 100,000 songs without permission. UMG is seeking a huge sum of $150,000 per infringment. Grooveshark has had problems with copyright in the past before with Google taking their mobile app off their Android market earlier in the year. I wish the huge best of luck for Grooveshark and CEO Samuel Tarantino.

With Grooveshark in the midst and lurking behind, their top competitor Spotify is radically pursuing upwards. There has always been problems with lawsuits by everyone for streaming websites and it really won't stop until a powerful medium from the government. Though with the huge bill of controversy called SOPA, the problems will keep arising. With everyone from Google to Amazon against this bill, the fight is on to stop the future censoring of the internet from the U.S government.

Keep your hopes up, things will get better Grooveshark.

Work your magic/ Listen to something different.

This couldn't get any more true than it already states. "I got over 7000 songs bro, my playlists are straight amazingggg".
When I try and buy an album, I try to soak in the wonder and awe that usually every musician I listen too entwines in their album's. Hey I know the single is so damn catchy and I know that track 2 is just so good but take the time to listen to your albums. Really enjoy the experience everyone. Broadening your musical mind can be such a great thing as you dont obviously wear down the catchy tunes first. Some songs get old.. yes but they don't have to get as old as fast because you didn't listen to it 50 times on the way to work for the feel good feeling. That artists didn't put 15 other tracks on the album just so you can listen the a handful of catchy wonders that they wrote. It's more about the depth of your albums, to listen for the emotion seething through.

If you havn't already heard. Occupy

I awake this morning in a internet scouring mood and of course the net is just chalk full of tragic stories from all over the world. Ever since Occupy Wall Street had begun I of course like to read the articles and keep up with the movement. The young people and the older people of our society are getting fed up with the corporate greed and powerful lobbyists and they're doing the only thing they know how to do to fight this.

Photograph: Mario Tama/Getty Images
To gather together and protest.

Photograph: Brendan Mcdermid/Reuters
I personally feel for everyone who is revolting against the common norm and is trying to say something about our world. Earlier today I read about an 84 year old-woman who is the pepper sprayed face of Occupy Seattle. What a horrid and dreadful act. There has been protest all around the U.S and even in my home city of Houston. It's spreading. It's spreading fast too, every young person has had this on their mind for a little while and it will only continue to fester and fester until all of us are out into the streets with our signs of political protest.  Police are trying to shut down every protest they come across and the brutality has only gotten worse. The need to ban together has grown even larger has the hassle of our protests is becoming a reality for the true players.

We can't tolerate anymore.
We won't stand for it.
We refuse.

Have a great day it's 11/11/11!

It's Here!

Ya the universe has finally gotten to this point in time and I am just as psyched as anyone. I even made my super wish at 11:11am! I know it's a sheer myth but it's pretty interesting to say that you've done it. Right now I'm outside sippin on a fine cup of joe thinking about the life ahead of me. I just cant wait for things to come sometimes. Though just recently I have been trying to buy a new  "used" car.

I have wanted a reliable car and since pretty much all of mine have been clunkers of some kind.
So everyone wish me luck in my used car buying. I have wanted to get one of these because I know they're good cars and they last quite awhile, I mean my grandfathers accord has almost 300,000 miles on it and he still drives it almost every day. Let the luck shine on me because I'll certainly need it.

In other parts of my life, It's been quite nice in Houston, Texas lately and the bugs are bitin me and the sun is still shining. With a playlist of the The Avett Brothers and the whimsical Bon Iver, today just can't be bad. Salutations everyone. Have a great day!

I see the truth!

New Mumford & Sons song - Ghosts that we Knew

If you havn't heard of this big upcoming band, your hearts should be prepared for it. These guys have been plowing their way through the music scene for nearly 5 years and their last album Sigh No More was such a huge success winning a number of awards for songs such as Little Lion Man and The Cave. The sheer passion and exciting shows Mumford & Sons perform have really started pumping attention towards them.

And this video above shows them performing their new song Ghosts that we Knew. A brilliant song if I must say that is slow building and ends up running through your veins. Although this song is not said to be officially on the next album, it definitely builds some attention towards it. Exciting, Very Exciting!

1,000,000 albums sold between the United States and the United Kingdom. Good job boys.

Thanksgiving

So earlier I have been thinking about what exactly I should make on Thanksgiving. Considering I won't be making the whole meal because my family always takes care of that, I plan to prepare a great dish though. Something that sparks a little life into the day you know?

Potatoes Dauphinoise with Bacon
The sound of it just makes my taste buds melt.

Succulent isn't it?
Definitely compliments any beef entree but hey it'll do just fine with Turkey.

People of Detroit Say NO to Nickelback

According to Rock News Desk nearly 40,000 people have signed a petition to boot Nickelback as the entertainment of the high publicity Thanksgiving football game between the Detroit Lions and the Green bay Packers. And you know what?

I whole heartedly agree with getting rid of this hybrid post rock mainstream garbage for a very important football game that many people will be watching. For the city of Detroit it's a shame to have this Canadian band represent the music scene of their prideful city. Detroit is very famous for having such a diverse and passion music scene from DJ's, to hip hop, to rock and roll scenes. The genre of music that Nickelback plays has never been popular in Detroit and many people are stunned that they have been booked to play the half time show.
It seems to me that by the time half time does roll around everyone will be getting up and spending their money to avoid damaging their ears of the same 3 power chords with a chorus. Wouldn't it be liable to have a genre that was actually created in Detroit, lets say... Motown

It's a fucking shame I tell ya. A shame

Lions mane jellyfish

Lions mane Jellyfish

One of my favorite animals. It is the largest known species of jellyfish! Beauty can't fucking describe this thing. If I seen this thing in the waters of Australia... Shit. Just the name of this jellyfish gets me, Lions Mane Jellyfish. These wonderful specimens tentacles expand out to 30 meters or more.

Tall peace mongers
Wonder how big 30 meters is?
Ya as tall as these Buddha statues!

I just wanted to share a little piece of animal info right here. Found it so interesting.

The holidays are building up! Ben Howard & Noah and the Whale

Yes the sweet holidays! Full of scents and wonderful assortments of food and family. Maybe not for some but for me it certainly feels this way. Cool air and sweaters to riding my bike in the morning. I hope everyone's Halloween was quite nice and gave their best to enjoy it.

I've definitely been slow jamming with nice acoustic sets and melodies to really kick in the fall time. Playing my own guitar is a great buildup to a new year. Recently I've been trying to learn the song "Old Pine" by Ben Howard. If you haven't checked out or heard of this great musician from England his new album Every Kingdom dropped in the beginning of October.

This album definitely isn't something to sniff at. The soul and slow focused passion that he ensues in his songs like "Only Love" and "Black Flies" really drive his voice. "Old Pine" and of course his past release "The Wolves" are uplifting and correspondent. My personal favorite is "Keep Your Head Up" as things getter harder for me sometimes in life it really just reminds you to keep striving.

Though in other music I have been listening too that also just really pushes me into the fall mood has been the fantastic album "Last Night on Earth" by Noah and the Whale. This album really ensures a great feeling about them and is a lot more instrumental than I've thought it was to be when it came out in March of this year. Ever since it's has definitely been on of the albums of the year for me.

As I sit outside and type this, my hunger is calling me. More again next time! Have a wonderful day today and just Keep your head up!

Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga

Going back to the good ole days of the legendary Tony Bennett. This man has accomplished so much in his life time from 15 grammy's, 2 Emmy's , and has been named a NEA Jazz Master. So when I hear of him doing a cover with Lady Gaga of The Lady is a Tramp I just had to give it a hear myself. I must actually say I'm not disappointed in the bit! Gaga delivers quite well with Mr. Bennett and doesn't go over the top.

Both seem to well suited in their own appearance and style. The flow of the whole tune was great to hear and stand by too. I surely feel the passion between the two. With Tonny Bennett doing another cover with the late Amy Winehouse, I do believe he has always made great decisions in who he sings with. Ever since his comeback during the late 80's and 90's, I'm guessing he sees the money and reality of making music with recent stars.Thoroughly impressed everyone. Feel it in your soul ladies.

To those who like to appreciate

Think about all that you have done today. Think about how your day could have either been a lot better or a lot worse. Recently I've been trying a different approach to human relation problems. You know those problems such as the same man you pass by everyday never talks to you and you never talk to him. Those few people who you've been trying to sell your product too and just can never get past their door. Hell consider your spouse, haven't you ever just sit back and think why are things like this? Why are things always like this. Human Relations is such a provocative subject that every human loves to talk about and there's not a lot of people who truly understand why some people are so much happier and get through life so much easier and always seem to prosper.
Cheers to a simple way of living, and always living. Cheers to a very easy way of pushing your influence on others and always making others happy to be around you. It's a hard way of life to live at first. But everyone who does it soon sees it's the only way to live.

Give Praise. Give it in everything you do and never criticize others. Everyone you meet is usually looking for that feeling of importance whether it be your boss, your neighbor, or the ice cream man down the street. You have to realize everything that everyone does is to better their lives or give the feeling of pleasure and importance toward themselves. Sympathy is a subject so often ignored by others and I usually try to take the time and understand where another person is coming from. Try this, next time when a certain aspect of your life doesn't go that way because you think it's someone else's fault, just give praise, don't shoot fault at someone. Arguing and shooting fault usually does nothing for anyone. Show some praise and give people that feeling of importance, it's the best feeling in the world.

I thoroughly enjoyed this remix. A good song and not too heavy, just light enough too groove. Makes the night go easy and steady friends.  Check out Shook.

The Black Keys El Camino

So in July the latest and greatest rock band for the past three years for me "The Black Keys", released the name of their new album "El Camino". The upcoming excitement for this album is phenomenal because their last album Brothers took off like a rocket in the sky landing big commercial deals, radio time, and the respect they so rightfully deserve after being a band for already a decade. With hits like "Tighten Up" and "Howlin' for You" their powerful sound and rhythmic melody describes a period of time for me and I hope it did for you too.

Courtesy of John Peets
The Black Keys really have something to live up too as Brothers was only released a little over a year ago and got such great fame. Even in January their last album was officially certified Gold and also the blues-duo accepted 3 grammys . I personally think they're doing the right thing in releasing another new album in such a short amount of time. With such a short amount of time between albums the time for the Black Keys is everlasting. Auerbach and Carney have said in an interview with SPIN Magazine that their new album is grittier, faster, and harder hitting. Though I personally can't wait for the new album some have mentioned that Dan and Patrick are rushing the gun here and pushing out the music. Well that rumor is always up in the air for a new and fresh band that has influenced oh so many bands and everyone can only wait and see.

The Black Keys gave us a superb treat today in releasing their newest single off the album "Lonely Boy". I hope everyone thoroughly enjoys this catchy and soon to be hit. Rough and ready the duo seem to be. Don't let the ride ever end boys.

Rick Perry doesn't know if Obama's Birth Certificate is Real

Ok so how much attention can this get. Many people have put Obama's head onto a pike here in the last year about him being an American citizen. Even after releasing his long term birth certificate, many still think it's not enough. Honestly I would love to know what is enough. I mean what does the president have to do to to make people believe he's a citizen.
Even Rick Perry has been interviewed and said recently that he doesn't know if the certificate is real.

Personally I stand strong by the president on this after releasing his birth certificate. So many people have criticized and attacked Obama on the birth issue and I believe it will certainly be used continuously in the upcoming election of 2012. Obama was elected to be our president and it seems to me it doesn't matter so much after releasing his birth certificate. Honestly I'm not even sure any president has ever been asked to do this before and it's kind of a slap in the face to the Obama administration.
This whole issue is certainly in Obama's favor no matter what certain politicians and media moguls think. The fury of the internet and conspiracy theories have climbed to the top of this for too long. I hope the American people have some faith in their America president that they elected.

Happy Birthday Mr. Berry

Today if you did not know is Chuck Berry's birthday and I applaud him on making it to a wise old age of 85. The influence Chuck Berry has had over the world of guitar and music itself has been enormous. He was one of the first to be introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I for one am glad about that. From hits like "Johnny B. Goode" to "Roll over Beethoven" and the unforgettable "Maybellene", Chuck Berry has always astonished audiences everywhere.
Having been named one of the greatest guitarists of all time and by far one of the heartiest performers of our age, his legacy will always prevail and Chuck shines that legacy outwards by still playing live at the age of 85.

Thank you Chuck for all the good years of entertainment.

Oh it's on my mind

Oh it's on my mind

This world, this time, this piece of mine

Going through the hallways of something rough

Every action around me is just another bluff

My class, my spirit, my sense of time.

To the dead dying faces of that stand, rain or shine

To the big companies that surround our world

To the big finance that come through our doors.

To the pieces of mine

Oh it's on always my mind

 Rain or shine

Jonathan Mak and Apple Tribute.

What a fine and interesting design isn't it? After Steve Jobs recent death this image has reached about all corners of the internet. Originally being done by Jonathan Mak, this really projects a distinct personality towards the situation to the world. Though recently Mak has been called out in the graphic design circuit as a copier.

Here's how it goes, Mak originally made this design as a tribute to Steve Jobs after he stepped down as CEO of Apple. Though after the death of Jobs this image has exploded through the depths of the web. As more and more people saw the design they really couldn't pass up the certain common characteristics to another design by Chris Thornley. Though the two have almost the exact same design, it really seems to me that this idea could have been thrown up into the air. I mean who really didn't know about Jobs' death? It just seems the tribute definitely goes to the person who designed it first, which was Thornley. Similarities in the graphic design circuit are quite common and I think Mak earned quite a valuable lesson.
Everyone should always do a lot of research before entering and proclaiming an idea on the internet. The power of the web brings images straight to our lives and copying an idea can be easier than ever. Though not always with bad intent ideas get copied, but I understands that it can happen unintentionally.

Good luck with everything Mak and your work is quite well. Everyone should always keep aspiring to create art and brighten our world.

The Civil Wars, Barton Hollow Album Review Rel.Feb,2011

The Civil Wars. Please let me have a minute of your time to talk about such a wonderful and upcoming duo that will pierce your emotions with their crisscross harmony. With their newest album Barton Hollow, The Civil Wars have gained a medium sized batch of recent attention this year and I say it's very well deserved. The slow passion throughout this album was strung out very well. The 2nd track "I've got this friend" gives you such a tremendous feeling of emotion as first John sings first then eventually after the first few verses Joy brings her wonderful voice to the table. The two show such great partnership in their style of music.

The whole completion of this album was truly amazing and I am so pleased to listen to it so many more times. Lets the good times come with sweet harmony John and Joy. On the grand scale of things I would give this album a fantastic

                         8.5/10 Stars
The single as well as the album is called Barton Hollow and up heaves a very large beat into your heart. This song sounds like it's definitely in Drop D with John smoothly leading the song. The sheer power of John's booming voice goes so well as Joy is backing him up with her oh so sweet voice. Such succulent partnership can be shown when they play at the NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert. It seems as the song gets going their voices both become so much louder to where the raw emotion seeps through.

Having being nominated for Duo of the year by CMT, I hope the momentum continues. "Poison and Wine" was on this album although released in 2009 it's still a great song. The song in this album that actually made me see their amazing style of duets was "Forget Me Not" because it sounds so light and proud to where you just can't help to love it!. Joy shows her lovely voice in "Girl with the Red Balloon" with lyrics such as "Did she let him go or did the four winds blow him away?". Her voice could soothe you to bed with a smile on your face.

Please give it a listen folks and you will not be disappointed.
Well Regards Folks.

He describes an era

John Lennon. The man who gave his voice and truth to millions of people. His work describes something that only stories of wonder can describe. Some have said whenever they got to actually meet Lennon when he was alive that the mere presence of his him gave people hope.

Well today he would have been 71, but fate really hits you sometimes.John certainly learned to express the power of the written and lyrical word. Everything from Working Class Hero to Love to his amazing work with his great group the Beatles and even (Just Like) starting over has moved and influenced so many wonderful people. He taught us to love the world.

Happy Birthday John. We all miss you.

Angus T Jones. Highest Paid Child TV actor

Finally becomes a man and joins the rest of the highly paid tv stars today on Oct.8. Aw yes $300,000 an episode is a fine sum of money for an 18 year old. Sheesh if had 7.8 million when I was18 the world would be my wonder. So I assume Angus has been fairly wealthy for awhile now from "Two and a Half Men" so I hope the money doesn't get to his head. A fine character he has played and highly recognized for. I hope all the best for this young man and that he moves on to a wonderful career of acting.

Hey he was born in Austin,Texas so... I like to picture a good guy!

Happy Birthday!

One of America Greatest Innovators: Steve Jobs

This guy right here

Everyone's talking him and I think he deserves to be talked about. One of the greatest innovators since  Thomas Edison. The leaping visionary Steve Jobs has passed. He placed big names on his products. A great business man and friend to many.
"Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish", Jobs said this at his Stanford University Commencement Speech. Many people can say what they want about this man but he will be put in books for long to come.

Album Review: Blink-182 Neighborhoods

After a long 4 year hiatus and the first new album in 8 years many people have gotten a hold of this album. Blink-182 has gave so many people great times with their hit songs such as "All the small things", "What's my Age again?", and by selling almost 30 million records and producing another album after their break, fans have rejoiced for their favorite guys Tom,Mark, and Travis. Since their long producer Jerry Finn sadly passed away, the band created this album without the help of an outside record producer. A lot of hype was certainly pushed on this album and I have to say.....

                                                                 A Solid 7.5/10

It certainly brings their sound back to the table with a touch of despair and great experimental sound. The single of course "Up All Night" bring that experimental sound straight to the table. Tom Delonge is certainly a fan of this sound with his project Angels and Airwaves and after so long without Blink it's not a surprise and not a disaster. The pure sheer to this album with the added catchy tunes coming from Delonge combined with "the in the dark" tunes from Hoppus really entwined each other. Their second single off the album "After Midnight" bring such a true feeling to Blink-182's fans as it really adheres to their old sound. It's a really truthful song and such a powerful drum beat from Barker just amps it up more.
I've seen Barker deliver some terrific drum solos and I don't think they suffocated Barker at all in this album as hip hop beats are definitely present in this album. The first song "Ghosts on the Dance Floor" doesn't shove an in your face song in a rush like some albums do it really starts off slow to give you a present sound of the album. Ambition has always been present with the band ever since Enema of the State
Recently I have read that "Snake Charmer" was written about the book of genesis and was actually going to be called "Genesis' though was changed. Personally I think Snake Charmer is perfect as the end of the song really could lure a snake to your bed if you know what I mean! This really puts the experimental sound on a high point at the end of this song while in the chorus "good girls like to sin" just pounds through your ears like golden waves.
"Wishing Well" and "Kaleidoscope" are straight solid songs with a backbone of Delonge and Hoppus. These songs you can really get into and jump around. A sure favorite off the album and Delonge sounds flat as ever! His singing style never got on my nerves and just added to the fun. Tom keep making it man!

With such a dark and despair last album title Blink-182 the boys have ripped of their pants and jackets  and got back to work. This album is certainly no disappointment and I'm glad their back. The catchy tune and powerful dark lyrics rage through this record and never left the fans out. Hopefully with recent success in this album they will be back for more to come.

Jammin and Jammin and Jammin

So the other day I went and got what I finally wanted. A noise maker. A good time maker.

I bought a harmonica! I've been loving it so far and I never really thought I would ever end up buying one. A lot of people love to play harmonica and I've just been amazed at that thought. The shear thrill of the thing!
I actually got a Hohner Bluesband Harmonica for very cheap and I am so pleased with it. I mean it really does the job for simple playing.

Right at this moment I have my neck holder on, just jammin a tune. Jammin and Jammin and Jammin

For all you lovers to play music out there you know what I'm feelin.

You know it. And I know It

The dreaded STUFF.
All the things we have to do in our ever constantly busy lives. Sometimes it feels like invisible pressure that is surrounding you at all times. It always seems like the more stuff you do there's just a lot more to do around the corner. Though blinded motivation to do things always takes a hold of me and I get it done. A lot of people seem to be like that and hey it works.
Though... Every now and then we need to take a break. A good solid curl up in the pecan tree moment. Really what I mean is a time to do something creative and mind consuming for yourself.

A time to really put yourself into art. If you want to have more creative thoughts and feel better about yourself for doing something worth doing. Make art.
Put down your mind numbing lives for just a second and go make art. Do it for yourself.
Paint
Make a commercial
Start writing on that book you always have wanted to write.
Pick up that guitar you've always wanted to play

You get my jive?
Do it.

Saturday, September 24, 2011

Ya I know right?

Well just another great day of good sun, good food, and a solid day of work. I've been staying pretty busy lately but of course I love putting my thoughts about! Wouldn't this be a good picture to be put onto a card? I certainly think so.

Now I live in America. Hey I know that it's not a mystery that the world has been looking at America in an odd light lately. With the debt sky high, unemployment at a stagnant mid-high rate, and our politicians just trying to figure out how to keep the government open it seems that others are laughing at us. Hey well we live in an indirect democracy to where we elect representatives that do nothing but benefit for themselves and to keep the silly political agenda up to date.

Though I love to be internet savvy and keep up with things day to day that are new and exciting. Recently the White House has launched a new platform of petition for people to be able to create petitions and sign into petition that they agree or disagree with. The way attention gathers on the internet everyone can really use this as a powerful tool in trying to help the agenda of getting shit done.

"Throughout our history, Americans have used petitions as a way to join together around issues they care about.  We the People brings that uniquely American tradition into the 21st century."
I am certainly in love with the idea and I think it's a powerful tool at use though I do believe it is late to the table and doesn't have enough attention by our ridiculous press that is too busy informing me about Sarah Palin's daughter.

So here's my call. Please look further into We the People and come together to set a political agenda for our country to try to follow. Put your opinion out there people. Put on your thinking caps and realize that our representatives has failed us. Here a quick video that does a great job of explaining We the People.

Things anew

Why do things again and again

Because it gives us pleasure to do it again :)

I don't eat just one apple

I won't smoke just one cigarette

You don't stretch out just one time

You don't only draw one painting

I don't ever just create once

The feeling becomes raw and anew with each time

Though riddled with out past behavior and needs

It gives us pleasure to do it again and be pleased.

Been hitting the books.

Ya college is in full swing as I strive to achieve! It's a tough groveling process sometimes.. It really is. I know oh so many people know what I'm talking about as well. Now to add to that I'm getting a bit sick. I've had a cold for a few days now.

Soup, lots of fluid, runny nose and aches, the whole deal. Long do I await to see some light at the end of the tunnel. Some power to consciousness
So yes I guess I can say netflix is my bestfriend lol...

Well I guess I just have to man up and suck it up. Be a tough guy. Just like Walter White.
.

Ok I don't have a gun.

Recent Generosity

Lately I've definitely been trying to be a little bit more generous. I know there is such thing as "smart giving" as to who to best give your money too. Though I believe to have a more generous world you have to be more generous. Now I'm not talking about giving everyone who asks 20 bucks but hey maybe giving that money to someone who needs it will throw some karma your way. There is nothing like that feeling of generosity. The feeling of being good.

Don't throw your money into wishing wells
Give it to someone who might actually need it.

Here in Texas the wonderful Renaissance Festival is coming! October 8th through November 27th. Every other year I try to go to this wonderful festival full of fun and off times. Theater shows, wonderful costumes, good grog, and wonderful festival feasting. There are so many great reasons to head to this festival! If you've never been well I assure you it's a blast. Sometimes I guess in good ole' Texas things get a bit hot in your 7 foot tall ogre costume, but hey it's for the theme right?!

Jousting shows and fireworks are what I really like while sipping on a pint. Everyone pretty much seems to have a smile on your face. I am most likely going to stuff my face with turkey legs that's why my smile is on :).
