Black Fridays Over

And for one I'm happy. The hustle and bustle of shopping carts, blonde hair everywhere, and the screaming of 5 month old kids are not my kid of thing. It's amazing what everyone prepares for Black Friday. I've heard about a lady macing people to be the first one into Walmart!

"GET OUT OF MY WAY, I HAVE TO SAVE 20 DOLLARS FOR A SHEET SET!!!"
It's unbelievable really.

Lately I've been working my face off to gather up some more money to buy a car and get things moving for me. Right now I drive this 1989 Chevy Pickup, it's a mammoth, but hey I love to drive it. Though it sucks the gas dry. Work at Chez nous and hang out with my beautiful girlfriend. Drinking coffee on my couch while I ponder the day. I hope it's a good one. It's raining pretty decently right now in good ole' Houston, Texas. The first part of the holidays is over everyone and I hope everyone enjoys it!

Grooveshark being sued by Universal. $15 Billion over 100,00 illegal uploads

Here recently there has been a huge math of lawsuits by Grooveshark vs. UMG. UMG has filed last week a copyright infringement lawsuit. UMG claims that the company has uploaded over 100,000 songs without permission. UMG is seeking a huge sum of $150,000 per infringment. Grooveshark has had problems with copyright in the past before with Google taking their mobile app off their Android market earlier in the year. I wish the huge best of luck for Grooveshark and CEO Samuel Tarantino.

With Grooveshark in the midst and lurking behind, their top competitor Spotify is radically pursuing upwards. There has always been problems with lawsuits by everyone for streaming websites and it really won't stop until a powerful medium from the government. Though with the huge bill of controversy called SOPA, the problems will keep arising. With everyone from Google to Amazon against this bill, the fight is on to stop the future censoring of the internet from the U.S government.

Keep your hopes up, things will get better Grooveshark.

Work your magic/ Listen to something different.

This couldn't get any more true than it already states. "I got over 7000 songs bro, my playlists are straight amazingggg".
When I try and buy an album, I try to soak in the wonder and awe that usually every musician I listen too entwines in their album's. Hey I know the single is so damn catchy and I know that track 2 is just so good but take the time to listen to your albums. Really enjoy the experience everyone. Broadening your musical mind can be such a great thing as you dont obviously wear down the catchy tunes first. Some songs get old.. yes but they don't have to get as old as fast because you didn't listen to it 50 times on the way to work for the feel good feeling. That artists didn't put 15 other tracks on the album just so you can listen the a handful of catchy wonders that they wrote. It's more about the depth of your albums, to listen for the emotion seething through.

If you havn't already heard. Occupy

I awake this morning in a internet scouring mood and of course the net is just chalk full of tragic stories from all over the world. Ever since Occupy Wall Street had begun I of course like to read the articles and keep up with the movement. The young people and the older people of our society are getting fed up with the corporate greed and powerful lobbyists and they're doing the only thing they know how to do to fight this.

To gather together and protest.

I personally feel for everyone who is revolting against the common norm and is trying to say something about our world. Earlier today I read about an 84 year old-woman who is the pepper sprayed face of Occupy Seattle. What a horrid and dreadful act. There has been protest all around the U.S and even in my home city of Houston. It's spreading. It's spreading fast too, every young person has had this on their mind for a little while and it will only continue to fester and fester until all of us are out into the streets with our signs of political protest.  Police are trying to shut down every protest they come across and the brutality has only gotten worse. The need to ban together has grown even larger has the hassle of our protests is becoming a reality for the true players.

We can't tolerate anymore.
We won't stand for it.
We refuse.

Have a great day it's 11/11/11!

It's Here!

Ya the universe has finally gotten to this point in time and I am just as psyched as anyone. I even made my super wish at 11:11am! I know it's a sheer myth but it's pretty interesting to say that you've done it. Right now I'm outside sippin on a fine cup of joe thinking about the life ahead of me. I just cant wait for things to come sometimes. Though just recently I have been trying to buy a new  "used" car.

I have wanted a reliable car and since pretty much all of mine have been clunkers of some kind.
So everyone wish me luck in my used car buying. I have wanted to get one of these because I know they're good cars and they last quite awhile, I mean my grandfathers accord has almost 300,000 miles on it and he still drives it almost every day. Let the luck shine on me because I'll certainly need it.

In other parts of my life, It's been quite nice in Houston, Texas lately and the bugs are bitin me and the sun is still shining. With a playlist of the The Avett Brothers and the whimsical Bon Iver, today just can't be bad. Salutations everyone. Have a great day!

I see the truth!

New Mumford & Sons song - Ghosts that we Knew

If you havn't heard of this big upcoming band, your hearts should be prepared for it. These guys have been plowing their way through the music scene for nearly 5 years and their last album Sigh No More was such a huge success winning a number of awards for songs such as Little Lion Man and The Cave. The sheer passion and exciting shows Mumford & Sons perform have really started pumping attention towards them.

And this video above shows them performing their new song Ghosts that we Knew. A brilliant song if I must say that is slow building and ends up running through your veins. Although this song is not said to be officially on the next album, it definitely builds some attention towards it. Exciting, Very Exciting!

1,000,000 albums sold between the United States and the United Kingdom. Good job boys.

Thanksgiving

So earlier I have been thinking about what exactly I should make on Thanksgiving. Considering I won't be making the whole meal because my family always takes care of that, I plan to prepare a great dish though. Something that sparks a little life into the day you know?

Potatoes Dauphinoise with Bacon
The sound of it just makes my taste buds melt.

Succulent isn't it?
Definitely compliments any beef entree but hey it'll do just fine with Turkey.

People of Detroit Say NO to Nickelback

According to Rock News Desk nearly 40,000 people have signed a petition to boot Nickelback as the entertainment of the high publicity Thanksgiving football game between the Detroit Lions and the Green bay Packers. And you know what?

I whole heartedly agree with getting rid of this hybrid post rock mainstream garbage for a very important football game that many people will be watching. For the city of Detroit it's a shame to have this Canadian band represent the music scene of their prideful city. Detroit is very famous for having such a diverse and passion music scene from DJ's, to hip hop, to rock and roll scenes. The genre of music that Nickelback plays has never been popular in Detroit and many people are stunned that they have been booked to play the half time show.
It seems to me that by the time half time does roll around everyone will be getting up and spending their money to avoid damaging their ears of the same 3 power chords with a chorus. Wouldn't it be liable to have a genre that was actually created in Detroit, lets say... Motown

It's a fucking shame I tell ya. A shame

Lions mane jellyfish

Lions mane Jellyfish

One of my favorite animals. It is the largest known species of jellyfish! Beauty can't fucking describe this thing. If I seen this thing in the waters of Australia... Shit. Just the name of this jellyfish gets me, Lions Mane Jellyfish. These wonderful specimens tentacles expand out to 30 meters or more.

Tall peace mongers
Wonder how big 30 meters is?
Ya as tall as these Buddha statues!

I just wanted to share a little piece of animal info right here. Found it so interesting.

The holidays are building up! Ben Howard & Noah and the Whale

Yes the sweet holidays! Full of scents and wonderful assortments of food and family. Maybe not for some but for me it certainly feels this way. Cool air and sweaters to riding my bike in the morning. I hope everyone's Halloween was quite nice and gave their best to enjoy it.

I've definitely been slow jamming with nice acoustic sets and melodies to really kick in the fall time. Playing my own guitar is a great buildup to a new year. Recently I've been trying to learn the song "Old Pine" by Ben Howard. If you haven't checked out or heard of this great musician from England his new album Every Kingdom dropped in the beginning of October.

This album definitely isn't something to sniff at. The soul and slow focused passion that he ensues in his songs like "Only Love" and "Black Flies" really drive his voice. "Old Pine" and of course his past release "The Wolves" are uplifting and correspondent. My personal favorite is "Keep Your Head Up" as things getter harder for me sometimes in life it really just reminds you to keep striving.

Though in other music I have been listening too that also just really pushes me into the fall mood has been the fantastic album "Last Night on Earth" by Noah and the Whale. This album really ensures a great feeling about them and is a lot more instrumental than I've thought it was to be when it came out in March of this year. Ever since it's has definitely been on of the albums of the year for me.

As I sit outside and type this, my hunger is calling me. More again next time! Have a wonderful day today and just Keep your head up!
